Consider applying for a seasonal position with Saskatchewan Provincial Parks.  There are many opportunities available, which include working with the public, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, interpretive staff, and campground administration.

Park Maintenance (Labourer/General Park Maintenance)

The upkeep of our campgrounds, picnic areas and beaches requires a team of skilled maintenance staff, trades people and general labourers.  These positions are responsible for the general maintenance of the parks, including upkeep of grounds, buildings and washrooms. Duties include, but may not be limited to, cleaning, mowing, landscaping, the cutting and hauling of firewood, and painting.  Applicants may also require knowledge in the use of hand and power tools and of trucks and ATVs as modes of transportation.  Evening and weekend availability may be required and most positions require a Class 5 Driver's License.

Customer Service (Campground Office/Entry Gate Attendants)

Our campground offices and park entry gates rely on individuals with great customer service skills and a friendly smile to greet and assist park visitors.  Responsibilities for these positions include registering campers and the sale of park entry permits using a computerized system, record keeping, operating a cash register, balancing cash and credit card transactions, and preparing bank deposits.  Work may involve evenings and weekends. Applicants should have the ability to stand for long hours and to work independently. These positions require excellent communication skills and may require a Class 5 Driver's License.

Visitor Programs (Nature and Historic Interpreters/Water-based Recreation)

Guide a hike through history or down a forested trail, stargaze, or lead a rope-making demonstration, and more. We are looking for energetic, creative staff to work as Historic or Nature Interpreters. Applicants will enjoy working with people and leading groups, and have experiences in theatre, music, the arts, or outdoor recreation. These positions require knowledge and interest in one of the following areas: History, Education, Biology, Geology, Geography or similar fields. They also require the ability to relay factual information in an enthusiastic and professional manner. Water-based Recreation/Lifeguard positions may require Bronze Cross, NLS and Water Safety Instructor Awards.
